Set Up Supervisor II

About the role

The Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs is hiring a Set Up Supervisor II for its Facility Set-Up department. The position reports directly to the Set-Up Manager and assists in coordinating meeting and banquet set-ups across the property, while also helping manage the set-up crews.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate information from the BEOs to Banquet Set-Up and Facility Set-Up so that set-ups are correct throughout the property
• Manage and schedule duties for about 10 to 35 employees, daily and weekly
• Complete payroll and low-earning duties, attend pre-conference meetings and weekly BEO meetings
• Order table linens and supplies for meetings and banquets, and inventory and order new equipment
• Work safely with PPE, and work closely with Event Services, Food and Beverage and other departments
• Administer and record disciplinary actions (coaching, absenteeism, etc.), meet with group contacts, and handle the care, storage and use of equipment and linens
• Communicate with vendors such as Gillespie's Flowers on décor and materials, and keep staff informed of set-up changes
• Interact effectively with internal and external guests

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous set-up experience and hospitality experience preferred
• Knowledge of hotel operations and ability to work independently
• Valid driver's license and age 21 or older
• Ability to listen, comprehend and speak well, with excellent telephone skills
• Basic math skills, computer knowledge and organizational skills
• Attention to detail, reliability, problem-solving skills and a guest-service orientation
