Service Technician – The Catherine

About the role

The Service Technician will perform technical and mechanical work to ensure the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident service work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely for proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders and work in all weather conditions.
• Physical capability to lift 25 lb unaided and 50 lb with assistance.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and respond to on‑call duties.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart where required.

Required skills

• EPA Type I and II or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
