Construction Manager

About the role

The Construction Manager will lead capital and redevelopment projects for Berkshire owned or operated apartment communities, reporting to the VP of Construction Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing scope of work and due diligence for new acquisitions.
• Coordinate redevelopment plans with operations, set vision and expectations.
• Develop improvement scenarios based on market research and VP directives.
• Build relationships with contractors/vendors, manage bidding and negotiation.
• Create execution schedules, oversee onsite construction, and manage change orders and payments.
• Support pro‑forma and capital budgeting development.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of construction management experience.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, able to interact with senior management.
• Collaborative, inclusive work style with high ethical standards.
• Demonstrated emotional intelligence and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
