Assistant Project Manager (Aviation)

About the role

This on‑site position in the Los Angeles/Southern California region supports the Project Manager in delivering aviation construction projects on time, within scope, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules and coordinating with design, engineering, and construction teams.
• Manage project documentation such as contracts, drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
• Support budget monitoring, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
• Help implement quality assurance and safety programs on construction sites.
• Facilitate communication among stakeholders and prepare regular status reports.
• Identify and resolve project issues in collaboration with the Project Manager and construction team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured on the company’s policy.
• OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain).
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management software (Procore, MS Project).
• Strong knowledge of Office 365 suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
• Experience with Sage PC and BIM 360.
• Understanding of construction documentation and processes (RFPs, RFIs, change orders, closeout).
