Service Technician – Edge

About the role

The Service Technician – Edge is responsible for maintaining the physical aspects of a stabilized residential property, ensuring safety, functionality, and appearance of buildings, grounds, and common areas. The role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Assist with grounds upkeep, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and minor painting of curbs and signage.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of maintenance or technical experience in a residential or commercial setting.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on‑call rotations.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance), and work in all weather conditions.

Required skills

• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart on the property.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
