About the role
The Institutional Services Assistant provides custodial support for the University of Arkansas at Monticello campus, ensuring clean and safe facilities for students, staff, and visitors.
Key responsibilities
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors; strip and wax as needed.
- Empty waste baskets, replace trash bags, and clean restrooms, restocking supplies.
- Wipe down furniture, desktops, and other surfaces.
- Use pressure washer for exterior windows and other exterior items.
- Notify supervisor of maintenance or repair needs and perform other assigned duties.
Required profile
- Ability to read and write; education or training sufficient for basic literacy.
- Physical ability to lift ~25 lb, squat, bend, climb stairs, and extend arms overhead and outward.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime beyond 40 hours and be on-call as needed.
Required skills
- Basic cleaning equipment operation (vacuum, mop, pressure washer).
