About the role
The Center for Training Transportation Professionals (CTTP) Support Technician supports all program activities, maintains laboratory spaces and equipment, and ensures high‑quality student learning experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare course materials, facilitate hands‑on training, and manage equipment inventory.
- Perform equipment calibrations, verifications, and on‑site laboratory inspection visits, including travel as required.
- Maintain laboratory spaces to the highest standards and keep precise records of inspections and assessments.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of experience in highway construction materials testing or a related field.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and CTTP certifications in basic aggregates, concrete field testing, hot‑mix asphalt, soils, and concrete strength testing.
Required skills
- Knowledge of construction and materials testing procedures.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot laboratory testing equipment.
- Experience performing equipment calibrations and inspections.
