Service Manager - DFW Area

About the role

ASCO Equipment, a family-owned and operated company serving customers for over 65 years, is looking for a Service Manager for its DFW area. The role leads the Service Department and works closely with the Branch Manager to run operations efficiently, attract and develop talent, and support customers. It is a full-time, on-site position.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Service Department, focusing on teamwork, safety, customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Collaborate with department heads such as the Branch Manager, Parts Manager and Sales Manager to meet company goals.
• Recruit, train and develop a team of technicians and support staff, and monitor training requirements.
• Oversee repair work so it is accurate and completed on time.
• Maintain proactive communication with customers, addressing concerns and giving updates.
• Hold regular department meetings on service work, safety, financial performance and company updates.
• Ensure adequate parts, personnel and schedules, and manage warranty claims, service quotes and administrative duties.
• Enforce safety standards across all operations.

Required profile

• Strongly preferred: prior dealership service experience in the heavy equipment industry.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience with success in customer service and service department operations.
• Proven ability to recruit, train and motivate high-performing teams.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and dealer business systems.
• Knowledge of federal and state safety regulations for shop and job site operations.
• Problem-solving, organizational, communication and people skills.
