About the role

The Real Time Data Research Center, housed within the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia’s Research Department, is a leading source of real‑time macroeconomic data, surveys and modelling. Its mission is to be the global source of economic research around real‑time data, macroeconomic forecast surveys, and macroeconomic modelling, providing valuable insights for monetary policymaking. The Senior Vice President & Director leads the Center’s portfolio, shaping research that informs monetary policy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Center’s full portfolio of activities, including macroeconomic surveys, data collection and forecasting.
• Organise and oversee workshops, conferences and other knowledge‑sharing events.
• Set the strategic vision for the Center and provide guidance to research teams.
• Maintain and expand high‑performance data sets used by macroeconomists and policymakers.
• Represent the Center in regional and national policy discussions.

Required profile

• Senior executive with extensive experience in macroeconomic research and data analytics.
• Proven ability to develop and communicate strategic research agendas.
• Experience working within a central‑bank or similar public‑policy environment.
• Demonstrated leadership of interdisciplinary research teams and familiarity with high‑performance computing environments.
