Senior Valuations Lead, CLO / CDO

About the role

The Senior Valuations Lead, CLO & CDO owns the daily valuation process for a wide range of structured credit products, including CLOs and CDOs, across global markets. The role ensures timely, accurate and high-quality valuations used by banks, broker-dealers, insurers, asset managers and other financial institutions for portfolio valuation, risk management, research and client reporting. It is a manager-level position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full daily production cycle for global CLO and CDO valuations, including pre-production, quality assurance, production and delivery.
• Perform and monitor daily quality assurance reviews to ensure pricing accuracy and minimise valuation corrections.
• Act as the primary subject matter expert for valuation methodologies, workflows, market data and analytical tools.
• Respond to client inquiries, price challenges and valuation questions in a timely and professional way.
• Represent the valuation team in client meetings, due diligence reviews, industry conferences and internal forums.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency through automation, process enhancements and workflow optimisation.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of valuation methodologies, models and execution improvements.
• Train, mentor and support junior team members on valuation techniques, analytical models, market data and systems.
• Lead market data improvement initiatives and expand product coverage and capabilities.
• Monitor global CLO and CDO markets, trends, trading activity and industry developments.
• Build relationships with dealers, brokers and market participants and analyse dealer research, rating agency reports and BWIC activity to support valuation decisions.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in CLO and CDO markets, including valuation methodologies and asset-specific analytics such as prepayment and loss modelling.
• Hands-on experience with valuation and analytics platforms.
• Proven track record of coaching, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
• Established network of broker and dealer contacts within structured credit markets.
• Preferred: 5+ years of experience in CLO and CDO trading, sales, structuring, modelling, valuation or related structured finance roles.
• Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM field, CFA designation, FINRA licenses or other fixed income certifications, and experience in a global, matrixed organisation.

• Anticipated base salary of $170,000 - $283,300, varying by location, with eligibility for an annual incentive plan (bonus).
