Senior Unified Communications Administrator

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Senior Unified Communications Administrator to support a program delivering integrated voice, video and data services across the IT lifecycle. The role involves designing, deploying and maintaining unified communications systems, working independently or in a team. The schedule is 40 hours of shift work, days (06:30-15:00), swings (14:30-23:00) and mids (22:30-07:00), Sunday through Saturday.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable, secure unified communications solutions
• Install and configure VoIP, video conferencing, instant messaging and collaborative platforms
• Monitor infrastructure performance and stability, perform maintenance, updates and security checks
• Integrate systems with network infrastructure, Active Directory and cloud services
• Implement security protocols and protect communication channels, data and endpoints
• Provide end-user support, troubleshoot issues and train users
• Maintain documentation, work with vendors and create disaster recovery plans

Required profile

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI, or ability to acquire it
• At least 4 years of telecommunications technical experience
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with overtime during critical peaks
• Ability to travel 5-10%, mainly within 75 miles
• High school diploma; preferred: Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field

Required skills

• Cisco UC appliances and Cisco IOS 12.X/15.X routing and dial plan configuration
• VoIP gateway configuration and end-to-end troubleshooting of voice and video on IP and ISDN networks
• CCNA certification, plus one of the listed IAT Level II or III baseline certifications
• Familiarity with MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Project and Visio

What we offer

• Salary range of $100,000-$130,000
