Senior Unified Communications Administrator

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Senior Unified Communications Administrator to support a program delivering integrated voice, video and data services across the IT lifecycle. The role involves designing, deploying and maintaining unified communications systems, working independently or in a team. The schedule is 40 hours of shift work, days (0630-1500), swings (1430-2300) and mids (2230-0700), Sunday through Saturday.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable, secure unified communications solutions
• Install and configure VoIP, video conferencing, instant messaging and collaborative platforms
• Monitor infrastructure performance, run maintenance, updates and security checks
• Integrate systems with network infrastructure, Active Directory and cloud services
• Implement security protocols and protect data and endpoints
• Support end users, troubleshoot issues and provide training
• Maintain documentation, manage vendor relationships and create disaster recovery plans

Required profile

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI, or ability to acquire it
• At least 4 years of telecommunications technical experience
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime and travel of 5-10% within 75 miles
• High school diploma; preferred: bachelor's degree in an IT-related field
• Must hold or be able to obtain a CCNA certification and an 8140 IAT Level II or III baseline certification by the start date

Required skills

• Cisco UC appliances and Cisco IOS 12.X/15.X
• Deploying and maintaining server- and router-based dial plans
• Troubleshooting end-to-end voice and video performance on IP and ISDN networks
• Familiarity with MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Project and Visio
