Senior Technical Writer for Developer Audience

About the role

Compose.ly is recruiting for a growing fintech solutions provider that needs a seasoned Senior Technical Writer to create developer‑focused documentation. You will work full‑time alongside product engineering, product management, and integration teams to turn complex technical concepts into clear, engaging narratives.

Key responsibilities

• Keep pace with product development, using style guidance to produce industry‑leading API and programming content that flows logically and tells a cohesive story.
• Collaborate closely with product engineering, product management, integration teams, and other internal stakeholders to create user‑centric API documentation and programming guides.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience writing detailed, user‑centric API and SDK documentation in an Agile software environment.
• Proven ability to prioritize multiple focus areas while maintaining high‑velocity, high‑quality output.
• Strong writing portfolio demonstrating clear, hierarchical presentation of technical information.
• Comfortable working with geographically distributed teams and aligning with US (CST) time zones.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Markdown or HTML and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Working knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, or Typescript.
