Senior Systems Engineer – Onsite Support

About the role

Atlas Technica is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide dedicated onsite IT support for its financial‑services clients in Austin, Texas. The role offers strong technical challenges, mentorship opportunities, and career growth within a fast‑growing managed services firm.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver onsite support for end users, handling Windows desktops, laptops, mobile devices and Microsoft 365 services.
• Act as an escalation point and mentor for Junior Systems Engineers, guiding technical development.
• Manage tickets, troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Support networking infrastructure, including TCP/IP, LAN, DMZ, WAN, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco) and wireless (Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti).
• Implement and maintain Azure workloads, enterprise firewalls, and endpoint threat‑management solutions such as Sophos.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in desktop support, systems engineering or administration.
• Strong background with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Entra ID) and Windows Server environments.
• Hands‑on experience with virtualization (VMware or Hyper‑V) and networking concepts.
• Ability to work onsite full‑time in Austin and meet physical job requirements.
