Senior Systems Engineer – Enterprise Storage

About the role

This senior technical resource will work with customers across multiple industries to design and implement storage and data management solutions on Qumulo’s cloud data platform. You will partner with sales, infrastructure teams and application owners from discovery through proof‑of‑concept and architecture sign‑off.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship on customer opportunities, from discovery and demos through POCs and architecture sign‑off.
• Design and validate solutions for workloads such as file services, backup, analytics, AI/ML and cloud‑adjacent applications.
• Build credibility with infrastructure teams, storage administrators, architects and application owners.
• Maintain technical toolkit including reference architectures, demo content, solution briefs and competitive positioning.

Required profile

• 6+ years in a customer‑facing technical role (Systems Engineer, Solutions Architect or Pre‑Sales Engineer) at a software, storage or technology company.
• Proven track record leading complex pre‑sales engagements end‑to‑end.
• Strong grounding in enterprise storage, file systems and unstructured data management across on‑prem and cloud.

• NFS, SMB, object storage protocols.
• Hybrid cloud solutions and multi‑cloud data management (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Containers, Kubernetes and DevOps workflows.
• Data protection, ransomware recovery, compliance and business continuity.
• Capacity planning, performance optimization and TCO analysis.
