Senior Specialty Rep - Rheumatology, North Texas

About the role

Amgen is looking for a Senior Specialty Representative for its North Texas territory covering rheumatology. The representative is the primary customer contact, acting as liaison to medical professionals by sharing clinical knowledge of Amgen's products, and executes the marketing strategy set by the District Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate the clinical and economic benefits of Amgen products to medical professionals
• Deliver branded sales messages, run planned programs, schedule and follow up on medical education events, and meet or exceed sales targets
• Manage accounts by ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues and maintaining product contracts
• Analyze the effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance, and develop territory plans with the District Manager
• Share best practices with colleagues and stay informed about disease awareness, regulatory and competitive changes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales experience, or associate degree and 6 years, or high school diploma/GED and 8 years
• Preferred: 3+ years in pharma, biotech or medical devices, and product/hospital sales in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology or infectious diseases
• Preferred: local market knowledge and a Bachelor's in Life Sciences or Business Administration
