Senior Software Engineer - Tax

About the role

Asure Software, a provider of Human Capital Management (HCM) software including Payroll & Tax, HR and Time & Attendance, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Payroll & Tax product team. The role focuses on building cloud-native applications and microservices for Tax, working with product owners, architects and developers. It is based in Dallas, Texas, and applicants must currently live in the DFW area.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain event-driven cloud-native HCM software
• Build and maintain full-stack applications with .NET Core/Framework on the backend and modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React or Angular) on the frontend
• Design and implement secure, scalable, well-documented RESTful APIs and microservices
• Write and maintain unit, integration and end-to-end tests
• Use application observability, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tools
• Take part in Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with product managers, operations and the executive team

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or similar work experience
• 8+ years of full-stack production engineering experience in a SaaS environment
• Experience designing and operating microservices in a container-orchestrated environment
• Familiarity with serverless architecture
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases

Required skills

• .NET (Core/Framework) and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Entity Framework Core or Dapper
• Vue.js, React or Angular
• Preferred: AWS Associate-level certification

• Base salary of $120,000-$140,000 depending on experience and skills
