Senior Software Engineer (Python / AI Insurance SaaS)

About the role

EvolutionIQ builds technology that helps insurance claims teams handle claims more accurately, fairly and efficiently. It is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in New York to design and deliver the customer-facing application layer of its growing line of AI solutions. The engineer will own the full lifecycle of building and launching enterprise applications, working in greenfield projects with high ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Build a complex multi-tenant enterprise SaaS application and the backend REST server that feeds machine learning data and Business Intelligence.
• Own the entire lifecycle of designing, building and launching enterprise applications, including database schema design.
• Work in greenfield projects with direct input from the head of product, the data science team, UX designers and end users.
• Shape product technology choices and the roadmap, and share technical expertise and best practices across teams.
• Write technical design documents, perform code reviews and help prioritize features.

Required profile

• 5+ years of engineering experience, expert in Python development.
• Full feature development life cycle experience, from product managers and scope to database schema design.
• Experience designing and launching backend architectures for multi-tenant, multi-user scenarios.
• Proven experience using AI / agentic tools such as Claude, Codex and Cursor to streamline development.
• Ability to move between rapid prototyping and stable production development, and to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
