Senior Software Engineer – Java Full Stack & AI

About the role

Mastercard’s Decision Services Technology team is building AI‑powered analytics and fraud‑detection solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer you will own end‑to‑end delivery of complex, full‑stack features and guide technical direction across the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and support scalable Java‑based microservices, APIs and modern web applications using Spring Boot and React or Angular.
• Lead the implementation of AI‑enabled capabilities, integrating Python‑based models and automation tools.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, reliability and maintainability of cloud‑native systems.
• Champion testing, secure coding, code reviews and mentorship of less‑experienced engineers.
• Drive observability, performance optimisation and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 6+ years of enterprise software development experience.
• Strong ownership, ability to deliver complex solutions with minimal oversight, and a track record of mentoring engineers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
