Senior Software Engineer - Java Full Stack & AI

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver AI‑enabled, full‑stack solutions for its Decision Services Technology team. You will work on a high‑growth product area, shaping architecture and driving technical excellence across cloud, data and AI platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and support complex Java‑based backend services and modern web applications using Spring Boot and React/Angular.
• Lead implementation of AI‑powered automation features and integrate machine‑learning models into enterprise products.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, reliability and maintainability of distributed systems.
• Champion testing, secure coding, code reviews and operational readiness, improving observability and performance.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience delivering enterprise software solutions.
• Strong ownership, ability to work independently and mentor less‑experienced engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• Java 8+ and Spring Boot
• REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems
• React or Angular front‑end frameworks
• Oracle or SQL‑based databases
• Python for AI and automation
• CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Copilot
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes
• Exposure to Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake
