Senior Software Engineer (Insurance Tech)

About the role

EvolutionIQ builds AI that helps insurance claims teams handle claims more accurately, fairly and efficiently, and is part of CCC Intelligent Solutions (NASDAQ: CCC). This is a hands-on Senior Engineer role focused on writing code and shipping high-impact features, using AI and agentic development tools as part of daily work. You will partner with Product, Data Science and Data Engineering, moving between rapid prototyping and production-ready systems.

Key responsibilities

• Build and enhance enterprise SaaS applications across EvolutionIQ and CCC products, spending most of your time writing production code.
• Modernize existing systems by working through complex legacy platforms while contributing to new product development and scalable backend services.
• Leverage AI-assisted and agentic engineering tools to accelerate development, improve productivity and prototype new ideas quickly.
• Partner with Product, Data Science and Data Engineering, contribute to technical design, code reviews and engineering best practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of engineering experience, delivering features end-to-end with Product, defining scope, designing data models, implementing solutions and maintaining them in production.
• Experience designing scalable backend systems, including multi-tenant, multi-user architectures, with strong relational database design skills.
• Ability to turn customer business problems into technical solutions and communicate their impact to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborative, solutions-oriented engineer with strong ownership, curiosity and communication skills across EvolutionIQ and CCC teams.

Required skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Python.
• Experience building applications with TypeScript and/or JavaScript.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted and agentic engineering tools in daily development.
• Writing technical design documents and participating in code reviews.

Nice to have

• Experience modernizing or working within existing enterprise applications and legacy systems.
• Experience building AI-powered applications or working in insurance, claims or enterprise SaaS.
