Senior Software Engineer – Full‑Stack & Cloud Native

About the role

Mastercard’s Open Finance Connect team is seeking a senior software engineer to shape the future of financial connectivity. You will build scalable, secure customer‑facing applications and backend services while leveraging AI‑assisted development tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate React.js front‑ends and Node.js/TypeScript back‑ends, delivering commercial‑grade REST APIs.
• Architect micro‑services, event‑driven solutions and ensure high availability, performance, observability, and operational readiness.
• Own features end‑to‑end: design, estimation, coding, testing, deployment, documentation, production support and continuous improvement.
• Use AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) responsibly to accelerate development while maintaining engineering judgment.
• Lead technical discussions, conduct code reviews, mentor engineers and promote reusable frameworks and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive full‑stack engineering experience with React.js, Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of API design, security (OAuth2, JWT, OWASP), micro‑services, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven problem‑solving ability, ownership mindset and clear communication across product, UX, QA and engineering teams.
