Java Backend Developer – Salt Lake City

About the role

Infosys Financial Services is seeking a Java Backend Developer to join its Salt Lake City team. You will work on AI‑driven digital transformation projects for banks, wealth‑management firms and insurers, building modern, scalable backend solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct interviews and workshops to capture user needs and document stakeholder requirements.
• Participate in design discussions, create process documentation and translate specifications into code.
• Develop, refine and document Java applications following detailed design specifications.
• Execute test plans, analyse results, report defects and support performance improvements.
• Integrate new features into existing systems and ensure smooth transitions.
• Monitor live applications, troubleshoot issues promptly and maintain comprehensive maintenance documentation.
• Document coding practices, testing methodologies and technical solutions for team knowledge sharing.
