Senior Sales Manager

About the role

The Senior Sales Manager at The Dalmar, Fort Lauderdale, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel is responsible for achieving the hotel's group booking objectives. The role focuses on building and maintaining relationships in the Group and Business Transient (BT) markets, driving group room revenue, generating and converting BT business, and maximizing occupancy and overall revenue. It works closely with hotel management and departments to ensure exceptional service and a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the company to customers, the public, government and other external sources, and manage sales activities within assigned markets
• Listen to customer needs, analyze information and create tailored proposals, then negotiate and close sales while meeting or exceeding targets
• Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates so they meet brand and hotel standards
• Sell all facets of the hotel to existing and potential clients using professional sales techniques
• Manage accounts, including solicitation and closing, and coordinate departmental involvement in servicing them
• Maintain relationships with key accounts and develop persuasive verbal sales presentations
• Travel locally to make outside calls, promote the hotel, review the competition and represent the hotel at trade shows

Required profile

• Proven track record in sales; previous hospitality sales experience preferred
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or a related field preferred
• Ability to sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds, and moderate travel between hotel and client locations
