About the role

The Senior Project Manager partners with the firm's Cybersecurity practice, clients, forensic and review providers and other third parties, managing scope, cost, risk, quality and delivery. The position is remote and can be filled from any city with a US office, with flexibility to visit the office for training or meetings.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead eDiscovery and data analysis strategies for complex CIR matters, including file listing analysis, data assessment, identification of sensitive data, defensible reduction, review, extraction, normalization, entity resolution, notification and reporting.

  • Design, validate and document defensible methodologies for data reduction, sensitive data identification, search term calibration, statistical sampling, analytics and other technology-assisted workflows.
  • Coordinate with forensic providers, clients, legal teams, vendors and review teams on secure data assessment, transfer, workflow design, quality control, productivity, budgets, timelines and deliverables.
  • Develop and manage matter budgets, forecasts, work plans, resource needs, metrics and reporting; monitor scope, costs and vendor spend and flag variances.
  • Oversee extraction, normalization, entity resolution, deduplication, address validation and notification lists, using SQL, advanced Excel, scripts, queries or other data transformation techniques as appropriate.
  • Support legal teams and clients in interpreting data findings, methodologies, metrics, notification populations and responses to client or regulatory inquiries.
  • Mentor Project Managers, Project Analysts and other team members, and help shape the department's Cyber eDiscovery service model, standards, playbooks and process improvements.

Required profile

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, legal technology or related consulting, including significant project management responsibility.
  • At least one year managing or substantially leading matters involving cyber incident response, data breaches or sensitive data review.
  • Ability to manage complex matters with large data volumes, advise attorneys, clients and senior stakeholders, and lead multidisciplinary teams, outside providers and escalations.
  • Minimum of three years of Relativity experience, with advanced proficiency in review workflows, analytics and reporting; Relativity Certified Administrator certification preferred but not required.
  • Experience with complex structured and unstructured data, including millions of documents, sensitive data elements and privacy classifications such as PII and PHI, and data subject to GDPR.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with limited direction, and to work outside standard business hours, including early mornings, evenings and occasional weekends.

Required skills

  • Advanced Excel, including XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Power Query and Power Pivot/DAX.
  • Relativity, with advanced proficiency in review workflows, analytics and reporting.
  • Preferred: MS SQL, Access or Oracle; Python, PowerShell or API scripting; Power BI or Tableau; advanced analytics, machine learning or AI review tools.

  • Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, plus pre-tax health and flexible spending accounts.
  • 401(k) savings plan and profit-sharing plans where eligible.
  • Paid time off of at least 20 days, 11 firm holidays, and paid parental leave of at least 14 weeks.
