Senior Project Manager – Civil Engineering

About the role

Langan is seeking a Senior Site/Civil Project Manager to lead design, permitting and client development for a variety of land‑development projects in Tyler, TX. The role partners with senior leadership and delivers innovative civil engineering solutions across residential, commercial, institutional and mixed‑use projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and obtain permits for residential, institutional, commercial centers, warehouse distribution centers and mixed‑use developments for public and private clients.
• Develop growth plans with office leadership and ensure effective staff utilization.
• Participate in business development by cultivating new client relationships and maintaining existing ones.
• Lead site/civil engineering efforts, overseeing site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control from concept through completion.
• Manage storm‑water design, conduct hydrologic/hydraulic analyses and prepare SWPPP documents.
• Integrate geotechnical and environmental engineering considerations into land‑development projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• 10+ years of site/civil engineering experience focused on land development, handling both small and large projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage client expectations.

Required skills

• Civil engineering design (site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure).
• Storm‑water management design and hydrologic/hydraulic analysis.
• SWPPP preparation.
• Erosion and sediment control design.
• Integration of geotechnical and environmental engineering.
