Senior Production Portfolio Manager

About the role

Moog is seeking a Senior Production Portfolio Manager to lead multi‑year roadmap planning, program delivery, and strategic customer engagement for its defense, aerospace and space portfolios. The role is onsite in Salt Lake City with a 9/80 schedule offering every other Friday off.

Key responsibilities

• Own portfolio strategy, long‑range planning, and alignment with customer roadmaps and corporate goals.
• Ensure programs meet contractual, technical, schedule and budget commitments while maintaining compliance.
• Manage portfolio P&L, forecasting, budget trade‑offs and corrective actions.
• Translate roadmap into resource plans, allocate resources across sites and resolve cross‑site conflicts.
• Lead risk management, export/compliance controls and configuration consistency.
• Provide governance, coaching and mentorship to the program management team.
• Drive capture strategy, proposal development and commercial leadership for RFIs/RFPs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business.
• Minimum 5+ years of program management experience and 10+ years of overall professional experience.
• Proven leadership, persuasive communication and strong customer orientation.
• Strategic and analytical thinking with a focus on process improvement and operational excellence.

Required skills

• Understanding and communicating technical aspects of programs.
• Experience with defense, aerospace or space industry preferred.
• Knowledge of missiles business market is a plus.
