Senior Privacy Technical Solution Architect

About the role

TikTok’s Privacy & Security team is seeking a Senior Privacy Technical Solution Architect to design and implement privacy‑focused technical controls that align with global regulations and business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design scalable, actionable technical solutions that meet regional privacy regulations and industry best practices.
• Partner with legal and compliance to define technical rules and standards for privacy technologies across data lifecycles.
• Work closely with business units to understand privacy requirements, design solutions, and drive implementation.
• Identify and evaluate emerging privacy solutions to enhance TikTok’s security posture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering or privacy/security engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience in large‑scale systems.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.

Required skills

• Privacy engineering and security engineering expertise.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA and other international privacy regulations.
• Experience with data discovery, access controls, retention and deletion mechanisms.
