Senior Principal Security Architect

About the role

Invesco is seeking a Senior Principal Security Architect to define and execute enterprise security architecture strategies that align with business objectives and technology modernization efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement security architecture standards, reference architectures, design patterns, and guidelines.
• Partner with business leaders, enterprise architects, engineering teams, and security stakeholders to embed security requirements into technology roadmaps and cloud adoption initiatives.
• Assess effectiveness of security controls across data protection, identity and access management, security monitoring, infrastructure/network security, and incident response, and recommend remediation actions.
• Research, evaluate, and advocate for emerging security technologies and products.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for advisory, review, and approval of security designs, configurations, baselines, and technical standards.
• Mentor security architects and technical teams, promoting architectural excellence and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressive IT experience, including 10+ years in cybersecurity, security architecture, and enterprise architecture.
• 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure) and a strong background in cloud security, Zero Trust, networking, IAM, data protection, AI platforms, and risk management.
• Proven ability to lead enterprise‑wide security initiatives and communicate risks and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
