Senior Principal Scientist, Pharmacokinetics

About the role

The South San Francisco DMPK organization seeks a senior leader to drive pharmacokinetic strategy for drug conjugates and emerging modalities, partnering across discovery, translational science, clinical development and more.

Key responsibilities

• Provide scientific leadership for DMPK strategy supporting drug conjugates and novel modalities.
• Represent DMPK on cross‑functional teams, integrating ADME, PK/PD, bioanalysis, toxicology and clinical pharmacology to guide decisions.
• Lead development of fit‑for‑purpose DMPK screening funnels and translational plans for lead optimization and regulatory packages.
• Oversee LM ADME experimentation strategy and capabilities.
• Manage and develop a group of investigators and scientific experts.

Required profile

• Master’s (15+ years) or Ph.D. (12+ years) in pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism, pharmaceutical sciences or related field.
• Extensive experience in DMPK, ADME, translational pharmacology with a strong record of impact in discovery or development.
• Proven ability to design, interpret and integrate in‑vitro and in‑vivo data for candidate selection, human PK projection and regulatory strategy.
• Excellent communication skills and experience leading cross‑functional project teams.
