Senior Principal Scientist, Clinical Research

About the role

The Senior Principal Scientist leads strategic planning and execution of clinical research for investigational immunology compounds, focusing on late‑stage development and full clinical trial lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate pre‑clinical and translational data to shape early clinical development plans and IND submissions.
• Develop clinical development strategies, design and oversee phase 2/3 trials in rheumatologic diseases.
• Monitor and manage ongoing clinical studies, analyze findings, and support regulatory filings and publications.
• Supervise Clinical Scientists, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and maintain scientific expertise in immunology.

Required profile

• MD, DO, MD/PhD or DO/PhD with at least 5 years of clinical or development experience.
• Minimum 3 years of industry drug development experience and a record of scientific scholarship.
• Experience designing and executing phase 2 or phase 3 trials in rheumatology is preferred.
