Senior Network Engineer

About the role

Netrix Global is looking for a Senior Network Engineer with a service‑delivery focus to act as a Tier 3 escalation point and senior lead for managed‑network clients. The role blends deep technical expertise with customer‑facing governance, operational analysis and service‑improvement leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Tier 3 troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for complex outages, performance issues and configuration defects across routing, switching, firewalls, SD‑WAN, wireless, VPN and monitoring platforms.
• Design, implement and optimise scalable LAN, WAN, data‑center and cloud‑connected solutions, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VLANs, Spanning Tree, vPC/VSS and QoS.
• Manage enterprise firewall platforms (Palo Alto Networks, Panorama, GlobalProtect) and develop failover, resiliency and disaster‑recovery strategies.
• Own recurring service reviews, produce executive‑ready status updates, risk summaries and service‑improvement plans for assigned clients.
• Coordinate incident, problem and escalation processes with Technical Operations Center, Service Desk, Account Management and Project Management teams.

Required profile

• 7+ years of network engineering experience in large‑scale enterprise, service‑provider or managed‑services environments.
• Proven Tier 3 troubleshooting experience on high‑impact network incidents.
• Strong communication skills with ability to interact with technical and executive stakeholders.
• Experience working US business hours (8 am‑5 pm CT) and handling weekend duties.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VLANs, Spanning Tree, QoS, IPsec VPN, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, RADIUS/TACACS+.
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ISR/ASR platforms and Palo Alto Networks firewalls (Panorama, GlobalProtect).
• Familiarity with SD‑WAN, wireless, VPN, network monitoring and reporting tools.
• Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
