Senior .NET Engineer - Service Delivery Center

About the role

EY's Service Delivery Center delivers technology project-based work and managed services to financial services clients, working alongside its advisory professionals. The Senior .NET Engineer develops and maintains high-volume, business-critical production platforms, from design through production support. The role is fast-paced and hands-on, spanning the full application lifecycle, and is open to candidates willing to travel up to 30% of the time.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain business-critical production platforms, build RESTful APIs and microservices, and own assigned workstreams independently from design through production support.
• Apply strong engineering, testing and automation standards, including TDD, CI/CD and automated regression testing.
• Collaborate across product, engineering, testing and operations teams, and mentor less-experienced team members where appropriate.

Required profile

• BS/BA or advanced degree.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in software development for business-critical, enterprise-wide applications.
• Hands-on experience with .NET, ASP.NET MVC, WCF and C#.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• .NET, ASP.NET MVC, WCF, C#, SQL Server, Oracle, IIS, RESTful APIs, microservices, SOAP, JSON, XML, log4net.
• Build, deployment and CI/CD tooling such as uDeploy, Jenkins, Ant, Maven and Groovy.
• Ability to write and tune SQL queries; TDD, CI/CD and automated regression testing are a plus.
• Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes), with AWS or Azure exposure, and GenAI tools such as Copilot are a plus.
