About the role
AVTECH Global seeks a highly skilled ASNT/NAS‑410 Level III Inspector to lead the development of Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) manuals and procedures for critical aerospace and defense programs. The role bridges commercial engineering standards with military operations, ensuring procedures are both executable by DoD technicians and technically equivalent to OEM baselines.
Key responsibilities

- Author and approve technical substantiation documents demonstrating that tailored DoD procedures meet or exceed OEM engineering tolerances.
- Collaborate with technical writers and engineers to integrate military standards and create step‑by‑step instructions for DoD inspection equipment.
- Travel to military installations and depots to conduct initial verification and validation events, gather feedback, and revise manuals as needed.
- Handle all project data, drawings, and specifications in compliance with DoD Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) regulations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of aerospace experience in NDT and quality systems, working with composites and metals.
- Active ASNT or NAS‑410 Level III certification in all five principal NDT methods (or at least two with support for others).
- Ability to pass a Tier 1 investigation for DoD contracts; existing security clearance preferred.
Required skills
- ASNT/NAS‑410 Level III certification (Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, X‑Ray, Computed Radiography, Bond Testing).
- Proficiency with NDT data analysis and computer software.
- Knowledge of DoD Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) safeguarding.
- Experience drafting and approving technical NDI procedures.
What we offer
