Senior Manager, Therapeutic Area Analytics & Insights (NI/AD/PD)

About the role

Genentech's Data, Digital and Analytics team is looking for a Senior Manager for the Neuroimmunology/Alzheimer's Disease/Parkinson's Disease (NI/AD/PD) therapeutic area. The role advises key stakeholders and contributes to Commercial, Medical and Government Affairs (CMG) planning, turning business needs into actionable insights and strategic recommendations that support decisions on in-line, pipeline and business development assets. It is an individual contributor position in a matrix organization.

Key responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities, then synthesize findings into strategic options and recommendations.
• Conduct market research, competitive assessments and custom analyses using appropriate analytic techniques.
• Integrate analytics products into workflows, promote a product-first culture and share best practices and automation ideas.
• Guide offshore teams and advise stakeholders on priorities and action plans.
• Communicate clearly with senior leaders and influence stakeholder buy-in.
• Lead or contribute to the community of practice, mentoring peers and fostering collaboration.
• Apply expertise in market research, data analytics, competitive intelligence and digital measurement to deliver insights.

Required profile

• 5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent with advanced education).
• Bachelor's degree; additional desired: degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Computer or Physical Sciences, or an MBA.
• Experience summarizing concise insights for business decisions, and handling uncertainty in a matrixed organization.
• Desired: experience in the neuroimmunology/neurodegeneration area, and in market research, competitive intelligence, data analytics, access and payer issues.

Required skills

• Data analytics tools such as Excel, Python and SQL (desired)
• Secondary data sources including syndicated sales, promotional and marketing data, and longitudinal patient-level data (preferred)
• Statistical modeling, analysis and presentation of results to non-technical audiences
