Senior Manager, Strategic & Business Development - AI Gaming

About the role

Tencent is hiring a Senior Manager, Strategic & Business Development for its AI gaming business unit. The role focuses on developing overseas market expansion strategies and building partnerships with game developers, publishing platforms and AI technology companies. It is open to candidates based in Los Angeles, Palo Alto or Bellevue.

Key responsibilities

• Develop overseas market expansion strategies, including AI-powered gaming and the iteration of gaming-driven AI technology
• Analyze the AI gaming market to help management formulate AI gaming strategies
• Expand and maintain key overseas contacts with game developers, publishers and AI technology companies
• Negotiate high-value partnerships and drive collaboration in technology licensing, co-development and channel distribution
• Support internal and cross-functional teams with overseas business strategy, resource planning, market research and regional goal setting

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in overseas business, strategy or business development, focused on AI or gaming
• Experience at the intersection of AI and gaming is preferred
• Established overseas network with a track record of successful collaborations in game publishing, AI partnerships or overseas capital ventures

Required skills

• Overseas market analysis, business modeling, independent industry research, competitive benchmarking and strategic planning
• Negotiation, cross-cultural communication and project management
• Understanding of AI technologies (Generative AI, Reinforcement Learning, content generation) and the gaming industry chain (R&D, publishing, operations, community)

What we offer

• Base pay of $106,900 to $223,100 per year, depending on location and experience
