American Girl Retail Associate (Part-Time)

About the role

The American Girl Los Angeles store is looking for a part-time Sales Associate who reports directly to the Retail Manager. The role delivers friendly service, builds sales, suggests and sells products, runs informative doll salon services and adapts to changing business needs. The store offers experiences such as Girl and Doll Salons, full-service restaurants, personal shopping, ear piercing and parties.

Key responsibilities

• Approach, acknowledge and assist customers promptly, handling several customers at once
• Meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing customers to merchandise, suggestive upselling and informing them of product availability
• Share information on store events, promotions and activities
• Process all point-of-sale transactions promptly and accurately
• Help resolve customer problems and turn returns into exchanges
• Communicate merchandise and service needs to management and support team and company goals

Required profile

• Sales experience in the specialty retail or service industry preferred
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including days, nights and weekends
• Basic computer skills; some experience with a POS system preferred
