Senior Manager, Labor Relations - Temco

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Senior Manager, Labor Relations for its Temco locations. Working closely with the Sr. Director of Labor Relations and the VP of Human Resources at Temco, the role carries out the company's labor relations strategy to maintain a union-free environment across the enterprise, with a focus on Temco. It reports to the Sr. Director Labor Relations and has no direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Manage issues involving protected concerted activity, organized labor and positive associate relations, and advise management at all levels
• Design and deliver union-free training, learning programs and work environment assessment tools, both virtually and in person
• Solve problems and give strategies to field business partners to find root causes of associate concerns and reduce risk
• Monitor and report on labor relations case law and regulatory changes
• Collaborate with field business partners on special projects such as training, process improvements, organizational development and policy implementation
• Manage union election campaigns under the direction of the Director, Labor Relations

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• Preferred: JD or Master's degree, supply chain or distribution experience, and experience with Teamsters or UFCW
• Preferred: 6 years of work experience
• Typical travel of 20% to 50% of the time, mostly indoors

Required skills

• Union avoidance initiatives and labor strategy
• Leadership and employee training in labor issues
• NLRB election campaigns, including communications, strategy, persuasion advocacy, opposition research and project management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Nevada, New York City, Ithaca (NY), Westchester County (NY) and Washington residents: $110,000 to $180,000.
