Senior Compensation Analyst - Financial Benefits

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Senior Compensation Analyst for its financial benefits function, working virtually from Georgia. The role develops, analyzes and supports the administration of compensation and benefits programs, evaluates changes to them and advises HR clients and business partners on compensation decisions. It covers areas such as store, SSC or executive compensation, retirement and incentive plans, equity programs and diversified business compensation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day compensation support, including producing periodic compensation statements and approval forms (25%).
• Support Board of Directors reporting on compensation programs and annual compensation strategy, and prepare ad-hoc compensation analyses (25%).
• Analyze, design and recommend incentive and other special payment plans (20%).
• Perform in-depth market analysis of pay, including selecting benchmark surveys, attending third-party industry meetings, data analysis and submission (10%).
• Manage the life cycle of positions and job titles: documenting, evaluating, setting pay ranges, ensuring internal equity, creating job codes and approving and posting job descriptions (10%).
• Advise HR partners on processes and systems, develop written communication packets, train HR partners and supervise report distribution (10%).

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Preferred: at least 4 years of HR, finance, accounting or other professional analytical experience.
• Preferred: a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job.
• Preferred: professional certification in HR, finance or accounting (already obtained or in progress).
• Reports to the Senior Manager Compensation; no direct supervision of others; typically less than 10% overnight travel.
