Senior Manager - Data Engineering

About the role

3M is looking for a Senior Manager, Data Product Engineering to lead a cross‑functional team that designs, builds, and operates enterprise data products. You will work with global partners to deliver scalable, trusted data solutions that enable analytics, AI, and digital business capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing team of Data Engineers and Technical Leads.
• Own the full delivery lifecycle of data products, from planning and design through deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
• Drive engineering best practices such as CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, data quality validation, monitoring, and documentation.
• Collaborate with product managers, enterprise architects, and data governance to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Guide cloud‑native data solutions using Snowflake, Apache Iceberg, AWS, dbt, Python, SQL, APIs, streaming technologies, and orchestration platforms.
• Ensure data products support AI, machine‑learning, self‑service analytics, and real‑time decision making.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading data engineering teams in a complex, enterprise environment.
• Strong track record of delivering production‑grade data products at scale.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
