Senior Software Engineer, AWS Cloud

About the role

Join 3M’s Platform Engineering, Developer Services team as a Senior Software Engineer focused on AWS Cloud. You will help drive the company’s digital transformation by building and operating cloud‑native platforms that enable developers to deliver applications efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Lead large programs and initiatives, coordinating work across organizations and enterprise stakeholders.
• Design and maintain enterprise reference architecture, establishing approved cloud, security, identity, observability, and pipeline patterns.
• Develop and maintain full‑stack AWS Cloud Native applications using Typescript and/or Python.
• Create Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions with Typescript, CloudFormation, or Python.
• Mentor engineers and architects on cloud patterns, AI‑augmented delivery, security, and cost management.

Required profile

• High School Diploma with 8 years of IT experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of IT experience.
• Minimum five years of full‑stack AWS Cloud Native development using Typescript and/or Python.
• Proven experience building IaC in Typescript, CloudFormation, or Python.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, customer‑focused mindset.
• Ability to adapt to evolving technical challenges and enjoy mentoring others.
