About the role
The Division of Information Technology Services at Northeastern University seeks a strategic Senior IT Project Manager to lead large‑scale ERP and infrastructure initiatives. This hybrid role requires on‑site collaboration three days a week and occasional 24/7 support for critical incidents.
Key responsibilities
- Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver complex IT projects on scope, schedule, and budget.
- Engage business units, technical teams, and executive stakeholders to define requirements and drive alignment.
- Apply Lean, value‑stream mapping, and agile/continuous‑delivery frameworks to improve processes and reduce inefficiencies.
- Provide 24/7 operational support for security incidents, software deployments, and system issues.
Required profile
- 8‑10 years of progressive IT project management experience, including large, matrixed initiatives.
- 5+ years of experience working with business units, technical teams, and senior leadership.
- Proven track record delivering enterprise‑level technology projects such as ERP, CRM, infrastructure, and cloud systems.
- Strong analytical, decision‑making, and influencing skills in ambiguous environments.
Required skills
- Project management methodologies: Waterfall, Agile, hybrid.
- Tools: MS Project, Smartsheet, ServiceNow, Jira.
- Data‑visualization techniques for communicating insights.
- Certification: PMP, Agile or related preferred.
