Postdoctoral Research Associate

About the role

Northeastern University seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join Prof. Francesco Restuccia’s team in Boston, focusing on resilient artificial intelligence, including adversarial AI and out-of-distribution detection.

Key responsibilities

• Provide scientific and technical leadership for the resilient AI research program.
• Design, develop, and set standards for research projects.
• Publish findings and obtain new research grants.
• Develop project budgets and manage resources.
• Interview, hire, and supervise professional staff and students.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least one first/second‑author publication in a top‑tier AI/ML venue.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in resilient AI research, including adversarial AI and out‑of‑distribution detection (desired).
• Demonstrated proposal writing and leadership abilities (desired).
