Senior Internal Auditor – Remote

About the role

The Senior Internal Auditor will execute complex internal financial and operational audits, support audit planning, and develop reports for management. This fully remote position is with Lumen, a global technology company focused on connectivity and inclusion.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with audit engagement planning, including interviews, process documentation, and development of audit objectives and test plans.
• Execute audit testing, document workpapers, perform root‑cause analysis, and summarize results.
• Participate in systems implementation and process‑improvement projects.
• Communicate testing status, audit issues, and deadlines to internal audit management.
• Support the SOX 404 program by evaluating and testing financial and IT controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related business discipline.
• At least three years of internal audit experience in a large organization, risk consulting, or external audit.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and effective communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, changing environment and collaborate within a team.
• Critical‑thinking aptitude for complex situations.
