Senior HR Generalist

About the role

Runway‑ml is building AI world models and needs a senior HR professional to own day‑to‑day HR operations and help scale the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full employee lifecycle—from onboarding to off‑boarding—for full‑time staff and contractors.
• Administer the HRIS (Rippling), ensure data integrity, run reports, audits and automate workflows.
• Manage visa and immigration processes in partnership with external counsel.
• Oversee leave administration and accommodations across multiple jurisdictions, keeping policies compliant with employment law.
• Run core programs such as performance reviews, open enrollment, engagement surveys and compensation cycles.
• Serve as the go‑to resource for employees and managers on benefits, policies and HR processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of HR Generalist or People Operations experience at a high‑growth company.
• Deep knowledge of benefits, leave administration, immigration basics and multi‑state employment law.
• Proven ability to run company‑wide programs (performance cycles, open enrollment, surveys).
• Strong written and verbal communication with credibility to advise senior leaders.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and comfortable operating independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• HRIS administration – Rippling experience is a strong plus.
• Data reporting, audit and workflow automation within an HRIS.
