Senior HR Business Partner (Level II)

About the role

Sempra is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner (Level II) to lead enterprise‑wide Talent and Culture initiatives. In this role you will translate strategic priorities into integrated programs that strengthen culture, enhance employee experience, and support change adoption across a fast‑paced, multi‑business environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute large‑scale programs such as engagement, leadership development, mentorship, and workforce experience initiatives.
• Partner with HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, Communications, business leaders, and external vendors to assess needs, build business cases, and deliver integrated solutions.
• Support employee listening, action planning, and culture change efforts while monitoring risks, compliance, and progress.
• Develop multi‑year people strategies aligned to business roadmaps, including capability building, leadership pipelines, and location strategy.
• Lead organization effectiveness assessments and collaborate with Compensation on pay architecture, role design, and incentive alignment.
• Oversee complex investigations or restructurings with Employee Relations and Legal, ensuring fairness and risk control.
• Define talent segmentation and mobility strategies, measure bench strength, and establish governance rhythms for performance, succession, and workforce planning.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in HR business partnering or talent management within large, complex organizations.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders, drive cross‑functional integration, and manage multi‑year strategic initiatives.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in employee listening, data‑driven action planning, and risk monitoring.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated autonomy and impact in shaping people strategy and governance.
