Senior Full Stack Engineer (BDVA) - GSA Contract

About the role

Global InfoTek is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to prototype, build and deploy modern web applications supporting a General Services Administration (GSA) contract. The work sits in an agile and lean environment, with frequent deployment of rapid changes and end-to-end software delivery. The position is based in Reston, VA, requires a Secret clearance and US citizenship, and pays between $108,000 and $163,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Prototype, develop and deploy scalable backend web applications and server-side processing logic using modern open-source software.
• Design, generate and maintain efficient data storage solutions and complex SQL and NoSQL database schemas.
• Integrate backend server logic and APIs with front-end user interfaces and client-side applications.
• Deploy iterative code changes and enhancements in an agile setting.
• Optimize client-side interfaces and back-end servers for speed, scalability and stability.
• Work with UI/UX designers, product managers and QA to ensure technical feasibility and turn requirements into working software.
• Take part in peer code reviews, troubleshoot defects across the stack and join Agile ceremonies.

Required profile

• 5-7 years of relevant experience; education may be considered in place of the requirement.
• Bachelor's degree; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Secret clearance and US citizenship required.

Required skills

• Front-end: JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS and modern frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.js.
• Back-end: Python, Java, Node.js, Ruby or PHP.
• Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and DevSecOps.
• Desired: build tools (Webpack, Vite), CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP, and automated testing (Cypress, Jest).
