Senior Foreign Trade Zone & Traffic Administrator

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Senior Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) & Traffic Administrator to manage FTZ operations and import traffic for its U.S. facilities in Grapevine, TX. The role ensures compliance with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and FTZ Board requirements while supporting timely movement of parts and merchandise.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the FTZ, handling daily part movements, preparing CBP reports, and maintaining required documentation.
• Organize inbound traffic, separate parts for FTZ admission versus consumption entries, and resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee import traffic for all Airbus Helicopter facilities, advising management on transportation provider performance and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with brokers to ensure accurate daily FTZ reports and timely customs filings.
• Manage freight invoice audits, initiate freight claims, and ensure accurate billing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field or equivalent experience (minimum 4 years).
• At least six years of related experience in FTZ operations, shipping/export procedures, and import documentation.
• Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR (U.S. citizen, green‑card holder, or covered under existing ITAR license).

Required skills

• Knowledge of FTZ software and electronic filing (e214, 7501, Customs 214).
• Experience with SAP or other trade compliance systems.
• Understanding of hazardous material handling and import/export documentation.
• Familiarity with customs regulations, broker coordination, and freight claim processes.
