Senior Director of Finance

About the role

AMAX is hiring a Senior Director of Finance, a core senior financial position within a company listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. The incumbent takes full responsibility for financial strategy, accounting and tax compliance, treasury and risk management, investor relations and corporate governance, and acts as a key strategic partner to the Board of Directors and executive management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee finance and accounting functions, and build accounting, financial and internal control systems so financial statements comply with IFRS, tax rules and regulations.
• Develop mid- to long-term financial strategy, oversee annual budgeting, forecasting and profitability analysis, and advise the Board and executives.
• Plan financing, investment, capital allocation and treasury strategies, including liquidity management, FX hedging and risk control.
• Lead tax planning, cost management and profitability optimization.
• Represent the company in investor relations with institutional investors, banks, auditors, regulators and others at an executive level.
• Oversee material information and financial disclosures, and promote corporate governance, internal controls and ESG-related financial mechanisms.

Required profile

• Master's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in finance, accounting or auditing; senior leadership experience in a publicly listed company, public accounting firm or multinational is preferred.
• Fluent English and Chinese, able to communicate with international investors.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, negotiation and coordination skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, public company regulations, securities regulations, Company Law and financial regulatory frameworks.
• CPA or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in financing, capital markets, investor relations or M&A is highly desirable.
