Independence Associate - US Learning/Culture Team (Risk Management)

About the role

EY is hiring a GDS Independence Associate for its US Learning/Culture team, focused on risk management. The role supports the Independence function in protecting the EY brand and enabling compliance with regulatory, professional and EY Independence requirements, covering operational execution, research, analysis, documentation, reporting and stakeholder support.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse firm and personal independence matters using EY Independence tools such as SuccessFactors, the Global Monitoring System (GMS) and the Personal Independence Navigator (PIN).
• Support independence processes including course assignment management, learning compliance, reporting and other operational activities.
• Research, validate, reconcile and maintain independence data, documentation and organisational structures so they are accurate and consistent.
• Answer inquiries, perform compliance checks and escalate complex or non-routine matters.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, metrics and analysis for Independence leadership decisions and monitoring.
• Take part in continuous improvement, automation, AI and process-enhancement initiatives.
• Collaborate with global teams across geographies while keeping quality, timeliness, confidentiality and compliance standards.
• Review learning materials by validating content updates, analysing reviewer feedback, spotting inconsistencies and recommending resolutions.

• Clear written and verbal communication with the team and US/global stakeholders.
• Attention to detail, critical thinking and ability to review complex information and give reasoned recommendations within timelines.
• Understanding of risk management, compliance, audit or Independence concepts; prior Independence experience is helpful but may vary by level.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, workflow trackers and process documentation.
• Ability to manage large data sets is a plus.
• Familiarity with data analytics concepts and emerging AI-enabled technologies is a plus.
